The Social Science Department is one of the departments within the Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC) established to research into applied social and population issues pertaining to health.

The Department is rapidly establishing itself in research within NHRC with a focus on the following areas: Public Health, Social Anthropology, Health Economics and Population Studies.

Our objectives are to conduct internationally high-level research on social determinants of health and to build the capacity of our staff through training.
