Achieving our set objectives
The DSD has three (3) main arms, namely; data processing, data analysis and ICT services that collectively work to harmonise her set objectives. These services include;

Data Management Services: Project and/or Research data are entered and stored in different formats and platforms based on the project requirements. Data from some of the clinical/vaccine trials and other surveys are entered online, and measures are usually put in place to ensure data security. Most of the data from research projects are entered on-site using locally developed Database Management Systems. The Database Management Systems and the data are stored in a database server on-site which is password protected. Individuals who use a particular data entry application will have to be granted access to the server by the Database Administrator.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Services: The ICT Unit has a 24/7 dedicated Fiber Optic Vodafone Internet connectivity service that supports researchers in their work. Internet access points are made available in the offices and on the campus Wi-Fi. It also has dedicated high-capacity servers with security-protected firewalls and Antivirus, as well as surge protectors, powered by a 24/7 solar power inverter. The Unit also updates the NHRC website and provides IT Support services.

Library Services: Prof Hutton Addy Library, the main NHRC fully air-conditioned Library, resourced with research materials and Computers with its serene atmosphere, is another service offered by the DSD. With the assistance of the Librarian, one can be assured of getting the needed assistance.

Various levels of manpower needs have been deployed across these arms to ensure the attainment of the overall set objectives. These are:
